Harp completes Radiation Work Course

The transportation of radioactive material has become more common place over the last several years.  Accordingly, the Department of Energy in conjunction with the National Labor College conducted a Rail Workers Hazmat Training Program in Cincinnati on June 15th.  Harp, who represents railroad workers, had the opportunity to attend.  “I found it fascinating.  Some radioisotopes have a half-life of 7 seconds, but Uranium-238, for example, has a half-life of 4.5 billion years.  Big difference!
